Mama Bear
I hooked Mama Bear during the pandemic.
My mother bought this pattern, knowing that my favorite animal is the Black Bear. Although I did not design it, I loved hooking it. It is one of my favorites!

Critique: Wow! This rug is truly amazing. I'm wondering if it is an original pattern because I’ve never seen this design. This is exceptional. Thing that really stands out the shape/pose of the bear. The silhouette of the cattails against the bear. The cool pinky leaf green, khaki and russet colors are a perfect blend of warm and cool colors. The filling grasses on the bottom area are a gentle, lazy touch. Your color plan and the way you blocked the background id extraordinary. There’s a bold heavy shape in the center of your composition, but you have managed to keep it light, interesting, colorful; and poetic.
